Geraldine Butler School of Ballet has been running in Ballina since 2010. The school teaches classical ballet to children from four years old up to seniors attending university. There are 90 pupils enrolled for 2025 - 2026.

The school teaches classical ballet, a syllabus based on classical technique, which builds the core strength of the students while learning to love and respond to classical music, with dance performance as the goal. The school performs a full classical ballet show every summer in the Ballina Arts Centre theatre, usually for two nights but possibly expanding to three in 2026 due to the number of family members wishing to attend the shows. The shows are 70 to 90 minutes long and combine story-telling, drama, joy and excitement, all through ballet with full costume. These event are the highlight of the year for all the students and serve to unite the dancers into a large family.

The Geraldine Butler School of Ballet is a sister school of Ballet Conrad, an international school based in USA. Geraldine is certified in the Conrad method of ballet.
